Core Route

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Core Route ("Core Route", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of coreroute.dev, api.coreroute.dev, and all related websites, applications, dashboards, APIs, emails, and services (collectively, the "Platform").

Core Route is an API discovery and developer community platform. We provide tools to browse, search, compare, and monitor APIs; submit and moderate listings; write reviews; create collections; request new APIs; submit app ideas; and claim provider profiles. The Platform aggregates information about third-party APIs and services. Except where explicitly stated, Core Route does not operate those third-party APIs.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Platform. By creating an account, clicking to accept these Terms, submitting content, or otherwise accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" refers to that entity.

1. Definitions

  • "Account" means a registered user profile that allows access to authenticated Platform features.
  • "User Content" means any content, data, text, links, images, metadata, reviews, ratings, submissions, collections, requests, votes, comments, or other materials that you submit, post, or transmit through the Platform.
  • "Listing" means an API, provider, category, country, or related directory entry displayed on the Platform.
  • "Provider" means a company, organization, or individual that offers an API or developer service described on the Platform.
  • "Moderation" means review, approval, rejection, editing, removal, or featuring of User Content or Listings by Core Route staff, moderators, or automated systems.
  • "Monitoring Data" means uptime, latency, incident, health check, or status information displayed on or through the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under applicable law to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this requirement.

You may not use the Platform if you have previously been suspended or banned, if you are located in a jurisdiction where use of the Platform is prohibited by law, or if your use would cause Core Route to violate applicable law.

Certain features, such as administrative or moderation tools, are available only to users assigned appropriate roles by Core Route.

3. Accounts and registration

3.1 Creating an account

To access certain features, you must register for an Account by providing accurate and complete information, including your name and email address. You may also register or sign in using a supported third-party identity provider such as Google, subject to that provider's terms.

You agree to keep your Account information current. We may reject or suspend registration attempts that appear fraudulent, abusive, or incomplete.

3.2 Account security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your Account.
  • You must notify us promptly at hello@coreroute.dev if you suspect unauthorized access, credential compromise, or Account misuse.
  • We may require additional verification before restoring access to a compromised Account.
  • You may not share your Account with others or create multiple Accounts to evade enforcement actions.

3.3 Account termination by you

You may stop using the Platform at any time. You may request Account deletion through your dashboard settings or by contacting us. Deletion is subject to our Privacy Policy and retention requirements described therein.

4. Platform services

Core Route provides a directory and community platform for API discovery. The specific features available to you may change over time. Current features include, without limitation:

4.1 Directory and discovery

  • Browsing, searching, filtering, and comparing APIs, providers, categories, countries, and collections.
  • Viewing listing details such as documentation links, pricing notes, coverage, categories, and community ratings.
  • Accessing public pages without an Account, subject to these Terms and applicable rate limits.

4.2 Community contributions

  • Submitting new API listings or suggesting changes to existing listings.
  • Writing reviews and ratings based on your experience with listed APIs.
  • Creating and sharing collections of APIs.
  • Submitting app ideas and community API requests, and participating in voting where enabled.
  • Applying to claim or manage a provider listing if you represent that provider.

4.3 Monitoring and status

  • Viewing Monitoring Data for certain APIs where monitoring is configured.
  • Accessing dashboards or status views that summarize health, incidents, or performance indicators.

4.4 Authenticated dashboard

  • Tracking your submissions, saved items, account settings, and role-specific tools.
  • Receiving notifications about moderation outcomes and submission status.

4.5 No guarantee of completeness

Listings are compiled from public documentation, community submissions, provider input, and automated enrichment. Information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Core Route does not guarantee that every API, provider, or feature is represented on the Platform.

Inclusion in the directory does not constitute an endorsement, partnership, agency relationship, or certification by Core Route unless explicitly stated in writing.

5. User Content

The Platform allows you to submit User Content. You retain ownership of your User Content as between you and Core Route, subject to the license you grant us below.

5.1 Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring that your submissions comply with these Terms and applicable law. By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to submit the User Content.
  • Your User Content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party.
  • Your User Content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and not misleading in a material way.
  • Your User Content does not contain malware, phishing links, exploit code, or instructions for unlawful activity.
  • Your User Content does not include API keys, passwords, tokens, or other credentials unless explicitly requested for a secure verification workflow.
  • If you submit a provider claim, you are authorized to represent that provider.

5.2 License you grant to Core Route

By submitting User Content, you grant Core Route a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt, translate, reformat, and otherwise use your User Content in connection with operating, promoting, improving, and archiving the Platform.

This license includes the right to make User Content available to other users and the public where the relevant feature is public by design, and to use your display name or username in connection with that content.

The license continues for User Content that remains published on the Platform even after you delete your Account, except where deletion or removal is required by law or successfully requested and technically feasible.

5.3 Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Platform ("Feedback"), you grant Core Route a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that Feedback for any purpose without compensation or attribution, to the extent permitted by law.

5.4 Moderation and editorial control

We may, but are not obligated to, review, edit, reject, remove, restore, or feature User Content at any time and for any reason, including to maintain listing quality, enforce these Terms, respond to legal requests, or protect users.

Moderation decisions are generally final, though you may appeal certain decisions by contacting hello@coreroute.dev with relevant details.

We do not pre-screen all User Content and are not responsible for content posted by users.

6. Submissions, listing changes, and provider claims

6.1 API submissions

When you submit a new API listing, you agree to provide truthful information about the API, including documentation URLs, pricing model, geographic coverage, and category fit. You must not submit duplicate listings, fake APIs, or listings primarily intended to advertise unrelated products.

Approved submissions may be edited by Core Route for consistency, formatting, categorization, or quality. Submission approval does not transfer ownership of the underlying API to Core Route.

6.2 Listing change proposals

You may propose edits to existing listings. Proposals are subject to moderation. Do not propose changes intended to hijack a listing, insert malicious links, or misrepresent a provider.

6.3 Provider claims

If you claim a provider listing, you represent that you are an employee, contractor, or authorized agent of that provider with authority to manage its public directory presence. We may request verification documentation and may deny or revoke claims that cannot be verified.

Claim approval does not grant you ownership of the Platform listing or exclusive control over all community content about that provider.

6.4 Reviews and ratings

Reviews must reflect your genuine experience or reasonable professional assessment. You must not post fake reviews, compensated reviews without disclosure where required by law, defamatory statements, or reviews that disclose confidential information belonging to others.

We may remove reviews that violate these Terms or appear to be part of a manipulation campaign.

7. Acceptable use policy

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not, and must not attempt to:

7.1 Security and abuse

  • Gain unauthorized access to Accounts, systems, networks, or data belonging to Core Route or other users.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform except with our prior written authorization.
  • Circumvent rate limits, captcha challenges, authentication controls, or access restrictions.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to extract data from the Platform at a volume or manner that exceeds reasonable personal use, overloads infrastructure, or bypasses technical controls.
  • Introduce viruses, worms, malicious code, or other harmful components.
  • Engage in denial-of-service attacks or other conduct that disrupts Platform availability.

7.2 Misrepresentation and fraud

  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a provider, company, or organization.
  • Create Accounts using false information or on behalf of others without authorization.
  • Manipulate reviews, votes, rankings, or monitoring signals through fake accounts or coordinated inauthentic behavior.
  • Use the Platform to distribute spam, chain letters, or unsolicited commercial messages.

7.3 Legal compliance

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of third parties.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or Core Route personnel.
  • Collect or harvest personal information about other users without their consent.

7.4 Enforcement

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in content removal, Account suspension or termination, IP blocking, and reporting to law enforcement where appropriate. We may investigate violations and cooperate with legal authorities.

8. Access to Platform data and APIs

Subject to these Terms, Core Route grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for personal or internal business purposes related to API discovery and evaluation.

8.1 Restrictions

  • You may not copy, scrape, mirror, or republish substantial portions of the Platform or its database except as expressly permitted by a written agreement with Core Route or as allowed by applicable law.
  • You may not use Platform data to build a competing directory in a manner that misappropriates Core Route's compilation or proprietary presentation.
  • You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Platform except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
  • You may not remove copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices from the Platform.

8.2 Rate limits and availability

We may impose rate limits, usage quotas, or access controls on any part of the Platform, including public pages and authenticated APIs, to protect service stability. We may modify or discontinue features with or without notice, though we will aim to provide reasonable notice for material changes affecting paid features if any are introduced in the future.

9. Core Route intellectual property

The Platform, including its software, design, layout, branding, logos, trademarks, selection and arrangement of directory content, original descriptions written by Core Route, and documentation, is owned by Core Route or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited access license in Section 8, these Terms do not grant you any rights in Core Route's intellectual property. You may not use Core Route's name, logos, or branding without prior written permission except as necessary to refer to the Platform in a factual, non-misleading manner.

11. Third-party APIs and services

The Platform links to and describes APIs, SDKs, documentation portals, and services operated by third parties. Your use of any third-party service is governed solely by that provider's terms of service, privacy policy, pricing, and acceptable use rules.

Core Route is not a party to your agreement with any third-party provider. We do not control third-party APIs and are not responsible for their availability, performance, security practices, data handling, pricing changes, regulatory compliance, or support quality.

Any integration, API call, or transaction you perform with a listed provider is at your own risk. You should perform your own due diligence before relying on a third-party API for production workloads.

12. Monitoring and status information

Where the Platform displays Monitoring Data, such information is provided for general informational purposes only. Monitoring may be based on synthetic checks, aggregated signals, third-party status feeds, or delayed measurements.

Monitoring Data may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. Outages, latency spikes, or green status indicators on Core Route do not guarantee the actual state of a third-party API at any given moment.

Do not use Platform monitoring as your sole operational alerting, incident response, or service-level enforcement mechanism. Production systems should use direct provider status pages, contractual SLAs, and your own observability stack.

Core Route disclaims liability for decisions, damages, or losses arising from reliance on Monitoring Data.

13. Fees and payment

Core Route currently offers access to the Platform free of charge for standard community features, unless otherwise stated on the Platform or in a separate written agreement.

We reserve the right to introduce paid features, subscriptions, or enterprise offerings in the future. If we do, we will provide applicable pricing and payment terms before you incur charges.

Any taxes associated with paid services are your responsibility unless stated otherwise.

14. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT, LISTINGS, REVIEWS, MONITORING DATA, AND MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORE ROUTE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

CORE ROUTE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

CORE ROUTE DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, OR CURRENTNESS OF LISTINGS, USER CONTENT, OR MONITORING DATA. OPINIONS EXPRESSED IN REVIEWS ARE THOSE OF THE AUTHORS, NOT CORE ROUTE.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORE ROUTE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF CORE ROUTE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORE ROUTE'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID CORE ROUTE FOR THE RELEVANT SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY TO ALL THEORIES OF LIABILITY, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, STATUTE, OR OTHERWISE.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH CASES, CORE ROUTE'S LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Core Route and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs) arising out of or related to:

  • Your User Content or your use of the Platform.
  • Your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
  • Your infringement or misappropriation of any third-party rights.
  • Your claim of authority to represent a provider where that claim is false or disputed.
  • Any dispute between you and a third-party API provider.

Cooperation

Core Route may assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense. You may not settle any claim that imposes obligations on Core Route without our prior written consent.

17. Suspension and termination

17.1 Termination by Core Route

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, remove User Content, or disable your Account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created legal or security risk, or if we are required to do so by law.

We may also discontinue the Platform or any feature in whole or in part. Where practicable, we will provide advance notice of material discontinuation affecting registered users.

17.2 Termination by you

You may stop using the Platform at any time. Account deletion is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

17.3 Effect of termination

Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including definitions, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute provisions.

Termination does not automatically delete public User Content previously published, as described in our Privacy Policy.

18. Changes to the Platform and Terms

We may modify the Platform, these Terms, or our policies at any time. When we update these Terms, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

If we make material changes to these Terms, we will provide notice where appropriate, such as by email, in-dashboard notification, or a prominent notice on the Platform before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform.

19. Governing law and dispute resolution

19.1 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Core Route is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise and cannot be waived by contract.

19.2 Informal resolution

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact us at legal@coreroute.dev and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within thirty (30) days. Most concerns can be resolved quickly through good-faith communication.

19.3 Jurisdiction

Subject to mandatory local law, you agree that courts located in the jurisdiction of Core Route's establishment will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform, except where applicable law grants you the right to bring claims in your local courts.

20. General provisions

20.1 Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional guidelines referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Core Route regarding the Platform and supersede prior agreements or understandings on the same subject matter.

20.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

20.3 No waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by Core Route.

20.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your Account without our prior written consent. Core Route may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets with notice where required by law.

20.5 Force majeure

Core Route is not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, internet or utility failures, or actions of government authorities.

20.6 Language

These Terms are written in English. Any translated version is provided for convenience only. In the event of conflict, the English version controls.
